At Pacific Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, we specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of the recreational athlete. This includes a broad age range of individuals who particicpate in traditional and non-traditional sports, including the injured weekend warrior, the grandparent with boomeritis and the adolescent playing club ball. Treatment is multidimensional and includes education and a discussion of training regimens, sport specific exercises, shoewear and injury prevention. This is often coupled with nutritional supplements, medication, bracing or splinting and injections as necessary.

Although every effort is made to treat patients non-operatively, surgery is sometimes necessary. In these cases, Dr. Lauritzen has significant experience and expertise, specializing in the newest bone and cartilage sparing procedures including arthroscopy, minimally invasive techniques and partial joint replacement.
